Pomp-a-doodle Purse

This is a purse that I whipped together with pomp-a-doodle yarn by red heart. I was a little wary of using this yarn because I thought it would be a pain in the neck to crochet with, but it was a piece of cake! Even when I made a mistake, the yarn pulled right out. The key is to crochet with the yarn between the pom-poms. I added sides and a strap with red heart yarn in navy. I can't wait to use it this fall.
Thanks for looking!

  1. I really like this, did you happen to write down the pattern?

    1. Thank you so much! (Sorry it took me awhile to reply. I don't check this blog since I don't update it regularly.) I did not write the pattern down considering that it was actually initially an attempt at making a scarf, which obviously failed terribly, but I can describe how to make the purse, if you want. The body is a simply a rectangle of pomp-a-doodle fabric, folded in half. I then crocheted in a matching blue color two rectangular strips for the sides of the purse to give it more dimension, and thus space to hold bigger objects. The strap is attached for about three inches down to the side rectangles. I hope this is clear. If you have any more questions, or would like me to post more pictures of the bag, just ask!
